I went to see Spunge at the Forum during the one more go tour, but it was completely different this time. In fact, this show was different to any other Spunge gig I have ever been to. For starters, the playlist was drastically different. There was only 1 new song, and almost all the set list was made up of songs from Room For Abuse. The other big difference was that the set was so long! It must have run for 2 hours, and it was absolutely f*cking roasting in their. The crowd was going mad for the first hour, but by the end everyone was knackered and there wasn't much movement for the last couple of songs. Saying that, everyone got up on stage for the last song and it was a brilliant way to finish.
More than Normal are actually a really good band, and really got the crowd going. In fact, They were probably the best support band I have ever seen. They really interacted with the crowd, and twice they split them up in 2 halves and got them to run at each other when the song kicked in.
I finally got the Room For Abuse re-release. It's good. A lot of the songs have changed quite a lot, some have quite cool fiddely bits in it and a couple are more or less the same. It was also quite nice to get Skankin' and Skulkin' again, as I had lost my original copy.
Well, that's it. I should be going to another couple of gigs on this tour. I wasn't really planning to, but last night has given me the taste for it.
