This probably has something to do with me not knowing anything at all with how music is made, but what does re-mixing and re-mastering actually mean? Have they been back in the studio and re-recorded the album or have they just played around with the recording they already had to make it sound better

They'll have just fiddled around with what they've already recorded. You think they'll have gone in and re-recorded it when they've a fourth album to record first?

I wonder how different it will turn out then. I love that album and it would be cool if it sounded as well made as all their new stuff.

like when Bambi came onto DVD, it could just sound a bit more clearer, sadly theres not gonna be any Metallica solos
