Hello to whoever is reading this! For those that don't know me; I'm Lucy. For those that do know me; bad luck. I don't suppose anyone knows of any shops in Gloucestershire that sell any [spunge] albums that aren't Room for Abuse or the self titled? I have pilgrimaged throughout Cheltenham & Gloucester, (& I would say Tewkesbury but my primitive town doesn't have any CD shops) & I have failed admirably at expanding my [spunge] collection! Why not just get it online you ask? Well I've been waiting for a while for a bank account to be sorted & once it is I can't use it to buy things online anyway. So I'll either have to wait for the gig, the earliest one I know of being the extraction fest in december! (And lets face it, by the end of the night I will have spent all my money on alcofuel, or lost it, or lent it to someone, or I wouldn't have enough to start with to get a CD.) What can I do!? Someone out there please help!

Well, if you can't get it in a shop and dont have a bank account, and there are no gigs coming up you don't have a lot of alternatives. You can either ask one of the shops to get it in, buy it off e-bay by sending cash through the post or either get your bank account sorted or get a credit-card. Who on earth doesn't have a bank account in this day and age? I would literally starve. Up north is weird.
Anyway, on to something much more important. There is an Extraction fest in December??

Thanks guys. I'll check that WHS thing & I was unaware that you could get things off eBay without a card. & about the next Extraction Fest, I read on this page:www.bbc.co.uk/gloucestershire/content/articles/2009/04/27/spunge_interview_feature.shtmlthat the guys 'will be will be holding their fifth Extraction Festival on Saturday 5 December 2009 in their hometown, Tewkesbury.' That's pronounced like 'Choox-bree' to anyone who doesn't know. & I'm inbetween bank accounts at the minute, I do usually have one! Right I'm off to look at eBay. Thanks again guys!

Brilliant article! Thanks very much for posting it.
I actually got a bit excited when I read this bit;
Are you planning on releasing any new material to follow on from your self-titled album in 2007? Des: Oh yes, we have started writing! We are talking about stuff we never even thought we would talk about.
But then I saw this bit;
Alex: We've got no pressure whatsoever, so it’s quite refreshing. We are doing what we want, when we want.
So that's that f*cked then :-) Good to know they are getting the bug again though, and their last tour was really successful. Well, apart from the London gig. Would be great to see them working hard again, I really thought they were just fading out

Yeah I kind of know what you mean, although I liked the self titled album I was a bit dissappointed with it at the same time, if that makes sense? They're still amazing live though! They played in Cheltenham Town Hall on April 25th (5 days before my birthday, what a present!) & it was like the feckin' best night of my life! I met Alex in the bar room/ pub thing after the about 5 pints of Strongbow, so obvioulsly I was embarassing myself in front of him by being an obbsessive stalker fan. "Alex mate mate, seriously though yeh? Seriously... I fuggin' love (insert sweeping arm gesture here) [spunge] no cuz like yeh honestly though. [spunge] is amoungst 3 of my fav'rit ban's & I think yer a genius. I'm not one uf those fake fans that only goes to your gigs & they say they love you, I listen to [spunge] like all'a time an' I love yer moosic." Or something like that, that's not word for word but I'm sure you can imagine! Lol! He can't of minded that much though cuz I remember him hugging me & giving me a kiss on the cheek. I was buzzed for the whole of the following week! Ha ha. Aaaanyway, I am now the proud owner of The Story So Far, I ordered it into a shop (thanks to you) & got it. So I'm jumping on demand all around my room whenever I feel like! I'm still waiting for them to get That Should Cover It in though. Also when I read that their next gig in Tewks isn't until december I was shocked & upset, so I immediately found this site, emailed Alex (embarassingly enough he remembered me) & he emailed back & said that [spunge] 'might' be doing a local gig before that. & by local I guess he means in Gloucestershire so I guess you'd have to like drive up or get a train or fly or however it is people from London travel. Anyway I hope they do. Right I'm rambling now, (sorry about the essay) so I'm going to titter off. Thanks again & bye bye!
